A decent interview with Trent Reznor. I was lucky enough to get to shoot him at Lollapalooza and can say his light show was by far the most impressive I’ve ever seen. I can imagine how restrictive it must be to have the scenes or chapters of the light show. His take on the medium of music is important, how and where you consume music is very important. The internet is a giant race to find the leak and review. Blogs do as much good as they do harm. Have you ever noticed how it can take a few days, weeks, or even years before you really get an album? I know when I heard Tool’s Lateralus at first, I didn’t get it, I had expectations for something else but after listening and adjusting, its now one of my favorite rock albums of all time. Focus, pay attention, stop texting, and LISTEN, let the music move you. Rock on Trent, props to you and good luck with the rest of the album.

Quick note, I run a few music websites and we do live interviews and I can honestly say that two dweebs couldn’t have done a worse job. I’m amazed that they were able to secure an interview with Trent in the first place. Terrible camera work, no editing, and no production value of any kind. Did you borrow your grandma’s camera’s? They even jump in to finish his sentences and think anyone cares what their opinion is. Shut up and let the man talk.
