Who Am I?
I recently took the time to introduce myself to a few groups of people. I figured why not take this and add it to my website for people who may not know my story. It is my website after all.
My name is Jesse Brede and I live in Austin, TX where I own and run 3 companies centered around my passion for music, technology and community.
My first passion is music. I am an accomplished DJ with more than 10 years of professional gigging including opening for acts like Skrillex, Deadmau5, The Glitch Mob, Big Gigantic, Griz, Bonobo and many more. I founded Gravitas Recordings, a creative collective and music label in 2011 with the motto of “Doing Good with Good Music”. We have released over 65 releases with several charity compilations raising many thousands of dollars for causes. You can download 95% of our music for free and we simply ask that you donate if you want to support us in what we do.
My next passion is technology. I went to the University of Texas in Austin for Computer Science and graduated in 2003. I have worked at several successful startups in key positions. In 2014, I founded my own digital media agency, Lion’s Share Digital. We build websites and do design for music festivals, artists and other creative arts.
Last is my talent agency, Temporal Talent. As my label has grown, many of our artists have started to find followings across the country. In order to facilitate their success, I founded a talent agency with a roster of 18 actively touring acts with two other partners.
